Halloween

It's coming to that wonderful time of year again; the glorious time when you can be whoever you want from whatever time period you want. Now I always have this one problem every Halloween, what should I be this year. Sadly I don't have money to go out and get enough things to make a fabulous costume so I've decided that I'll wear my wonderful Elizabethan dress again and just add some things to it to make it better than ever before, I'm actually quite excited. But as Halloween draws closer I find myself with more and more ideas of what I could be. I could be a female joker and wear my swallowtail coat from prom... now the problem with this is that the joker has a matching purple suit, but I don't have anymore fabric of that color, so I think if I were to do that I'd make some nice slacks from a deep midnight purple, besides as a girl shouldn't I have better fashion than the actual joker. Another fabulous idea I've had is to be a Greek Goddess of sorts and paint my face gold and create an absolutely luxurious chiton (toga for those who are not completely greek obsesses) I would somehow create and amazing intricate hairdo with golden ribbons or braided threads weaved throughout. This is beautiful picture in my mind.
Now just about every time I start talking costumes with my mom she makes a semi-joking retort telling me I should have gone to BYU and majored in Costume design, which sounds wonderful I have to admit, but since I've already started down a path I don't particularly want to change it. But who knows maybe someday when I'm working on my masters degree I'll be able to take some Costume design classes and show the world what it really means to love Halloween.
